Help us help you! The Shalom Tenants Alliance needs your help in documenting patterns of reduced services, defects, and other issues in individual apartments in Shalom-owned and managed buildings. We hope you will take a few moments to fill out our forms:
The information you and other tenants provide will be used to identify problems in your building and establish common patterns across Shalom buildings city-wide. Common problems and specific issues will be published on www.shalomtenants.org, presented in a searchable format to assist Shalom tenants, elected officials, and city and state agencies in recognizing patterns. Also, as appropriate, we will share tenant reports with elected officials and city agencies to assist individuals and the group in getting repairs done and having grievances addressed. Information associated with individual tenants will not appear on shalomtenants.org. Likewise, if you prefer to remain anonymous if information is shared with elected officials or city/state agencies, we will respect your wishes. We encourage you to take advantage of the process of filling out our reports to clarify what the most important issues are in your building and your apartment. This will help you in filing complaints with your landlord and city/state agencies, compiling evidence for court, working with tenant support groups, and organizing your own building's tenant association. We also hope you will use the building details available on shalomtenants.com to see the common Shalom patterns for yourself. Go to Search Buildings in the main menu and see which buildings have the same problems yours does! We Shalom tenants have a lot more in common than landlords with the name (Oheb)Shalom. Hang in there! Shalom Tenants Alliance |
